If you loved The War That Saved My Life then you have to read this book.  Ada's story continues right where the first book left off.  Now that Susan's house has been destroyed by a bomb Ada, Susan, and Jamie move into a house on the estate of Lady Thorton.  Ada's foot is finally fixed, but she still feels like parts of her are worthless and broken.  When a German Jewish girl moves into the small house, tensions rise and Ada must decide if she can conquer the war inside her. ~Reviewed by Mrs. C

A Very Improbable Story by Edward Einhorn

Characters:
The characters in this book are…
Ethan, the cat named Odds, and Ethan’s sister Cindy.
Plot:
One day, Ethan randomly wakes up with a cat on his head.  It is NOT his cat because he saw his cat jumping off of the bed beside him. The cat that is on Ethan’s head is named Odds. Odds will not budge off of Ethan’s head until Ethan wins a game of probability.
My Opinion:
I did like this book. My favorite part was when Ethan’s little sister-Cindy ran into Ethan’s room and started to try and play with Odds. There were a couple of funny parts.  For example, when Cindy tried to say `probability`.
Recommended?:
I do recommend this book because it is very funny and adventurous.

Characters
Maya- little girl who is sick- polite
Catrina (Cat)- older girl, scared- polite
I do like the characters, they make me mostly happy

Plot
So, first Cat and Maya move into a house that is said to have ghosts that live there. Cat’s sister is sick with cystic fibrosis so they had to move to where the air was fresh. In the middle, they meet ghosts and Maya goes to the hospital. In the end, Cat gets used to the town and loves it.

My Opinion
I loved the book, my  favorite part is the end because it was a happy ending. There were scary parts like when Maya goes to the hospital. I did learn that never blame another person for something they didn’t do.

Recommend
I  recommend this book because it is a happy book with a happy ending.

I liked this book because it was funny.  Puppy wants to play with Kitty, but Kitty does not want to play.  The book made me happy because Puppy finds 26 things to do without Kitty.  My favorite part was...I can’t tell you.  I learned to make new friends and to not say no when someone wants to play with you.  I recommend this book because I liked the creative pictures.  I was fun to read. ~review by JMD

~ I like this book, because it is funny and a little bit tense at times. The main characters are Carter & Sadie. They both are the storytellers of  the book. Carter is funny and cool, Sadie is better at magic and cool to. They both are smart. Carter is with his dad when he goes to visit his sister for one day when everything changes. They go to the museum to see the Rosetta Stone, where the god of evil (seth) appears and kills their dad. The twins embark on a dangerous adventure. Read the book to find out more! ~Review by KU

The main character is you, the person that reads the book.  It is fun to read because you can do these things, and the pictures are great. They make so many great things.  I like when you spill hot chocolate and it makes a frog. I recommend this book if you are messy like I am. ~Review by LO

Young Zeus by G. Brian Karas

Young Zeus a really good book for kids who are interested in Greek mythology.  A poor child is hunted by titans and he must save his family.  Will he succeed or fail?    I like this book because it's very fun to read and gives a good background about Zeus and cool he really is. When I read this book I did not want to stop. The illustrations are great and very neat. The writing font is also very neat in some of the text. Also a few facts about Zeus: he is the king of all gods and has a child.  I recommend this book to all ages.  It's not too long and very interesting ~Review by TEJ

Tap to Play! by Salina Yoon

My opinion on this book is that I think it is very funny because Blip (our main character) gives us directions. The directions he gives us are very funny. Such as when he tells us to shake the book and the next page has him upside down.  Blip is our main character. Blip is probably the best part of the book. He is also a very funny character.  Blip is trying to win a game.  He will give us directions to win himself a surprise. It’s very fun to read because the directions he gives us are very funny. With each turn of the page there is more and more excitement to be had.  I would recommend this book to 9 year olds and younger. Mostly because i think 9 year olds and below would find humor in these kinds of books. An older audience would probably find no excitement. ~Review by NS

My opinion about the book Last Kids on Earth and the Zombie Parade is that it is really adventurous and funny. This story takes place in Wakefield and it is invaded by zombies and monsters.  The main characters are: Jack who is fearless, his pet monster who is stupid but funny, the school bully Quint who is smart, and his friend June who is smart.  They all are trying to defeat the zombies. They live in a tree house and eat oreos and drink mountain dew. I recommend this book to people who like adventures and second grade and up. - MN
